Is There a Move In Your Future?

Whether you need more space for a growing family, locating to a new neighborhood, downsizing to a smaller home or condominium, or are simply looking to make a change because your life has changed, it may be time for a move.

Many times we meet clients who want to move, but have some concerns. Here are some of the things we hear:

“I am worried that I will not be able to sell my house for what I owe on it.”

“I hear on the news every day that the real estate market is bad and I wonder if that means that my local market is bad.”

“I am worried about my job or my spouse’s job.”

“I don’t want to sell my house before I find a new one. I do not want to be homeless”

“Maybe I could rent my house and cover my monthly payment but I don’t have professional help.”

“I can’t afford to buy a house without selling my house first.- can I?”

We also hear from clients who see opportunity in the market, but are not sure how to act on it.

“I hear it is a great time to buy. I don’t want to miss out.”

“The interest rates on new home loans are so low, this seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

“Maybe I could sell my house via land contract, or a lease to own. I wonder if there are alternative sales strategies that may help me reach my goals.”

“I want a new home but I don’t want to risk having two house payments. Can I write and offer contingent on the sale my current home?”

Many times when we sit down to consult with these potential buyers, they realize that they are in a far stronger position than they thought they were.

“Now that I think about it, I have survived the worst of the recession and I still have my job.”

“Things are getting better, I feel much more confident in the future. I have not felt this way in a long time.”

“You know we have played by the rules, worked hard, and done everything right financially, maybe it is time treat ourselves to the house we have always wanted.”

“I may not get all the money I hoped to on the sale of my house, but I am saving so much more than I ever could of hoped on the house I have always wanted.”
