The
village of Enon Ohio, whose name spells "none" backwards,
is centrally located between Dayton and Springfield,
Ohio.
Enon OH is home to the second largest conical
Adena mound in Ohio, sometimes referred to as the Knob
Prairie Mound. This earthwork is listed in the National
Register of Historic Places and is 574 feet in circumference
and 40 feet high. The base covers more than one acre.
The Adena culture occupied this region from about
1200 B.C. to as late as 800 A.D.
Enon is the Clark County's largest village in
size and population and is linear — about two miles long
and only a half-mile wide. The eastern edge borders farm
fields, on the west are subdivisions.
